Deep-water soloing, or psicobloc, is a form of sports climbing that is done over water. The beginnings of deep-water soloing in Menorca can be traced back to climber Pep Escrivà, one of the pioneers in the 90s. Since then, the island has become a deep-water soloing paradise, thanks to its climate and cliffs.

Deep-water soloing is primarily done on South Coast cliffs, that feature more favorable climatological conditions. In Menorca, there are a variety of areas where you can practice deep-water soloing, and in all of them you will find routes of varying difficulty.

We present you with this one-of-a-kind excursion in Menorca, in which you will be able to practice free climbing in one of the most beautiful enclaves of the Mediterranean. Discover the joy of climbing without ropes, only with a swimsuit and climbing shoes, over the crystalline waters of the island. An unforgettable experience for climbers and adventurers!

The excursion starts in the port of Maó. There you will be met by Jordi, the captain of the ship and amateur climber. Once we’re ready, we will set sail and head to the cliffs on the south coast.

Throughout the trip, we will stop in secret nooks and unspoiled coves. There you will be able to swim in crystal-clear waters, snorkel and explore the seafloor.

During the excursion, we will visit some of the best places to do deep-water soloing, like Cala Rafalet, Alcaufar, Es Canutells, Cales Coves, and Cala’n Porter. Once there, you will be able to comfortably access the different climbing routes with our paddle surfboards. You’ll only need to make the most of it and push yourself to the top of the routes of your choice!
