In collaboration with the company The Fleet, we offer you a small fleet of llauts you can hire without a license. Sail through the Bay of Fornells and discover its best corners, in a comfortable boat, easy to handle and with an authentic Menorcan flavor.

Enjoy an unforgettable experience, in which you will be able to discover the North Coast of Menorca on your own and navigate in the traditional boat of the Balearic Islands, the Menorcan llaut. Our charter boats without license have a maximum capacity of 4 passengers. You can rent them for half a day, choosing between morning or afternoon, or enjoy them for the whole day.
Have you never driven a boat before? The llaut is an easy-to-handle boat, and its consistency and stability make it the perfect boat for people who have never sailed. If you have no previous experience, Ignasi will offer a masterclass where you will learn the basic knowledge for the correct handling of the llaut. In addition, he will advise you on the best routes, itineraries and places to visit, to enjoy an unforgettable sea journey.

Fornells Bay
NAVIGATION AREA
Our charter boats without a license are located in Fornells, a perfect location for sailors without much experience. Sail through the calm waters of the Fornells Bay or discover inaccessible corners of the Marine Reserve of the North of Menorca.
The navigation area is delimited by the straight line that connects the Cavalleria Lighthouse with La Mola de Fornells.

Pregonda
Pregonda, sand-colored, inspired by the beaches of the north coast of Menorca, is a classic and robust llaut. Equipped with a new, very quiet two-cylinder engine.

NAVIGATION TIPS
Navigation
- Don't crank the engine to full throttle.
- Distribute the weight in balance.
- Get out of the way of other ships.
- Never ride the waves off the side of the boat.
- If the sea rages, return to port.
- Keep an eye on the bottoms and rocks near the coast.
- Prepare the anchor before reaching the cove.
- Before dropping anchor, position the boat head to the wind.
- Drop the anchor over the bow of the boat, ahead.
- Leave a safe distance or perimeter from other boats and the shoreline.
- The anchor rope has to be as horizontal as possible.
- Do not turn off the engine until you have verified that the anchor is safe.
- Set up the bathing ladder before jumping into the water.
- Start the engine in neutral before picking up the anchor.

CONTRACTING CONDITIONS
Additional information
- The charter boat rental service without a license is offered by The Fleet company, in collaboration with Menorca en Llaut.
- The rent includes the fuel reasonably necessary for the sailing day. The skipper of the boat is responsible for controlling the fuel level.
- All contracts include Liability Insurance and safety equipment.
- VAT included.
- The client agrees to respect the number of seats on each boat and not exceed its maximum capacity.
Deliveries and returns
- The delivery of the boat is made at the mooring of The Fleet on the Paseo Marítimo de Fornells, at 10:00 a.m. for full-day or half-day rentals in the morning shift. For rentals in the afternoon shift, the boat is delivered at 3:00 p.m.
- The return of the boat must be made in the same mooring before 2:00 p.m. for half-day rentals in the morning shift, or before 7:00 p.m. for rentals in the afternoon shift.
- The delay in the return of the boats will be strictly penalized.
Payments
- To formalize the booking, advance payment of 20% of the total amount of the reservation will be made.
- The client will be informed via email of the different payment methods to pay the advance.
- The remaining 80% of the amount will be paid the day of navigation, before the delivery of the boat.
Deposit
- To rent one of our llauts without a license, we require a deposit of €150 in cash, which is refunded when the boat is returned in the same condition it was delivered, and without any damage or loss.
- If the llaut is not returned in the same conditions or as agreed, all or part of the deposit will be assigned to The Fleet to cover the damage or loss.
Cancellations
- By the customer. If you want to cancel your reservation, contact us as soon as possible. Call us at (+34) 667 903 557 or write to us at info@menorcaenllaut.com.
- If the cancellation is made more than 72 hours (3 days) in advance, or is due to illness or justified causes, 10% of the total amount of the booking will be refunded. The remaining 10% will be paid for administration expenses.
- If the cancellation is made less than 72 hours in advance (3 days), or isn’t due to a duly justified reason, the client will not be reimbursed for the advance.
- For meteorological causes. The activity is conditioned by the meteorology. If we consider that the weather conditions are not optimal to enjoy a great evening, the date may be changed within the same season, or 10% of the total amount of the reservation will be refunded. The remaining 10% will be paid for administration expenses.
- By The Fleet. In case of cancellation due to boat damage, the full amount of the deposit will be returned to the customer, or a change in departure date will be agreed upon, if the client wishes.
