A UNIQUE DINNER ON A UNIQUE BOAT
We present you one of our most special experiences and with an authentic Menorcan flavor.
Enjoy a dinner on a boat with a private chef for small groups, aboard the island’s traditional boat, the Menorcan llaut. A unique proposal in which you can discover the traditional gastronomy of Menorca and navigate in a paradisiacal environment.
Menorca en tu plato is an experience focused on the sea and its fruits, in which you will discover the traditional cuisine of Menorca from its very origin, through a tour of the Port of Mahón. The menus created by chef Richard Tejada from Alma Salada offer current market cuisine recipes, made with the best seafood and fresh fish, locally sourced and obtained through traditional fishing.
The evening begins at 8:00 p.m. at our mooring in the Port of Mahon. There you will be received by Jordi, captain of Menorca en Llaut. Once installed, we will set sail and sail enjoying the sunset. On our route through the port, we will skirt the Illa del Rei and anchor near the La Mola fortress to make way for dinner service. After dinner, we will enjoy an unforgettable after-dinner under the stars, and we will close the evening by returning to the mooring at midnight.

GASTRONOMY, SEA AND TRADITION
Traditional Menorcan cuisine is a legacy passed down through generations, and is characterized by its humility and simplicity, leaving all the prominence to fresh, seasonal and local raw materials. Over the centuries, and due to the limited resources of the island, Menorcan cuisine has evolved into a subsistence cuisine in which all the resources offered by both land and sea are used to the maximum.
In Menorca, the sea has always been present on the tables of its inhabitants. The island has the perfect conditions for mollusks, such as clams and mussels, a large assortment of crustaceans such as the exquisite lobster, prawns or crabs, and a wide variety of blue, white and rock fish. The quality of all these magnificent products of local origin, fundamental ingredients in numerous recipes, have given way to a healthy, balanced and sustainable diet.

CONTRACTING CONDITIONS

- All contracts include Liability Insurance, safety equipment and first aid kit.
- VAT included.
- If there are intolerances or food allergies to take into account, notify us in the reservation form.
Booking and contracting
- The reservation and contracting of any of our dinners on boat must be made with a minimum of 3 days in advance.
How to book?
Payments
- To formalize the reservation of one of our dinners on board with a private chef, a deposit of 600€ will be paid in advance.
- The client will be informed via email of the different payment methods to pay the advance.
- The remaining amount will be paid on the day of navigation, before boarding.
Cancellations
- By the customer. If you want to cancel your reservation, contact us as soon as possible. Call us at (+34) 667 903 557 or write to us at info@menorcaenllaut.com.
- If the cancellation is made more than 72 hours (3 days) in advance, or is due to illness or justified causes, 75% of the advance will be returned. The remaining 25% will be paid for administration expenses.
- If the cancellation is made less than 72 hours in advance (3 days), or isn’t due to a duly justified reason, the client will not be reimbursed for the advance.
- For meteorological causes. The activity is conditioned by the meteorology. If we consider that the conditions are not optimal to enjoy a great evening, the date may be changed within the same season, or 50% of the advance amount will be refunded. The remaining 50% will be paid for administration expenses and will be used to cover the costs of the raw material.
- By Menorca en Llaut. In case of cancellation due to boat damage, or unavailability of the skipper, the full amount of the advance will be returned to the customer, or a change in departure date will be agreed upon, if the client wishes.
